Capabilities
Environmental Services
Environmental services are delivered with a focus on regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and long-term sustainability for federal, tribal, municipal, and commercial clients. Technical expertise, hands-on field execution, and disciplined project controls are integrated to deliver reliable outcomes on complex environmental projects.
A multidisciplinary team supports work across complex sites and legacy facilities, providing practical, field-driven solutions from initial site assessment through remediation, engineering support, and project closeout.
Core Capabilities
Environmental Investigations, Site Assessments, and RI/FS
Environmental investigations and site assessments identify potential contamination, define environmental conditions, and support risk-based decision-making. Services include Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments; Preliminary Assessment/Site Investigation (PA/SI); Remedial Investigations; and Feasibility Studies (RI/FS) performed in accordance with applicable federal and state regulatory frameworks. Deliverables are technically defensible and designed to support regulatory compliance, risk management, and the evaluation and selection of appropriate remedial strategies.
Environmental Remediation and Corrective Actions
Support spans the full lifecycle of environmental remediation and corrective actions, from planning and design through implementation and closeout. Capabilities address contaminated soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and structures using proven and compliant remediation approaches. Projects are executed in coordination with regulators and stakeholders to reduce environmental risk, protect human health, and restore sites for future use.
Cultural and Historic Resource Support
Cultural and historic resource considerations are integrated into project planning and execution to support compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and applicable federal and state requirements. Services include records searches, field surveys, impact assessments, documentation, and coordination with State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO), Tribal Historic Preservation Offices (THPO), and other consulting parties. This approach supports timely project delivery while ensuring potential effects to historic properties are identified, evaluated, and appropriately resolved—particularly for projects on tribal lands and historically sensitive sites.
Hazardous Materials Surveys and Waste Management
Hazardous materials surveys and waste management services identify, characterize, and support the proper handling of regulated materials. Capabilities include assessments for asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint (LBP), PCBs, and other hazardous substances, along with waste profiling and disposal support. These services help maintain compliance, protect worker safety, and reduce project-related liability.
Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Planning
Sustainability initiatives and environmental compliance planning align regulatory requirements with long-term environmental stewardship goals. Services include compliance planning, sustainability assessments, and program support that promote responsible resource use and reduced environmental impact. Complex regulatory frameworks are navigated while advancing resilient and sustainable operations.
Environmental Engineering and Permitting Support
Environmental engineering and permitting support advances projects through regulatory review while coordinating with NEPA requirements. Services include engineering evaluations, design-support analyses, and preparation of permitting and NEPA documentation to support agency review, streamline coordination, and facilitate timely project approvals while maintaining compliance.
Legacy and Former Military-Use Site Environmental Support
Specialized environmental support is provided for legacy and former military-use sites affected by historical training, testing, and operational activities, including sites managed under the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP). Services support investigation, remedial planning, and compliance efforts related to military-associated contaminants, munitions-related hazards, and legacy infrastructure. This experience supports risk management and regulatory decision-making while facilitating site reuse, redevelopment, or mission transition objectives.
